Who We Are
The Higher Education Leadership Foundation (H.E.L.F.) was established in March 2015 to provide bold, engaging and innovative learning and mentoring opportunities for current and aspiring leaders.
Mission
To strengthen the leadership pipeline for Historically Black Colleges and Universities by developing visionary, principled, and transformational leaders through innovative learning, mentoring, and experiential leadership development.
Vision
A future where every Historically Black College and University is led by visionary, principled, and transformational leaders who inspire excellence and lasting institutional impact.

H.E.L.F. Continues Building Tomorrow's HBCU Leaders
In recent years, Historically Black Colleges and Universities have faced considerable challenges, including leadership turnover, funding constraints, enrollment pressures, and the rapidly changing demands of higher education.
As a result, it is critical that the next generation of senior administrators receive the necessary training and support to become strong, visionary, and transformational leaders. Without question, HBCUs would benefit from more stable leadership prepared to meet the needs, challenges, and opportunities facing all institutions of higher education. Developing a cadre of well-prepared leaders must be intentional, strategic, and thoughtful.
H.E.L.F. is committed to advancing this vision by equipping emerging and established leaders with the knowledge, networks, and leadership experiences needed to strengthen their institutions and ensure HBCUs continue to thrive for generations to come.
